J. D. Barrett
OWNER, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Jeri D. Barrett, RLA is a registered Landscape Architect in the States of Connecticut and New York. He has 40 years of professional experience in all aspects of Landscape Architecture. Jeri leads an innovative team of professional designers to create unique environmental design solutions for outdoor projects that are practical, environmentally responsible and sustainable, in addition to being aesthetically stunning. Jeri received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Studies from Syracuse University in 1981, followed by his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Degree in 1982, from SUNY College of Environment Science and Forestry at Syracuse. Over the course of his career Jeri has developed strong relationships with numerous Planning and Environmental Review Boards, professional colleagues in allied fields and contractors. Working together, the team at J. D. Barrett & Associates, LLC has been able to successfully design, obtain permits for and construct a wide variety of projects for clients that have added enjoyment, functionality, beauty and value to their properties.

Susan Borden
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Susan Borden received an accredited bachelor degree in landscape architecture from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Her attention to detail and broad knowledge of the design and implementation of multifaceted and ecological sensitive designs makes her an integral part of the design team at J.D. Barrett and Associates, LLC. Her understanding of regulatory processes, through years of work in Westchester and Fairfield Counties, is an important aspect of the J.D. Barrett and Associates, LLC  commitment to providing clients with the services necessary to turn an idea into a built environment.

Del Orloske
LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Del received his graduate degree at the Conway School of Landscape Design. His deep commitment to sustainability and the health of both the environment and the community is integral to our land planning process. His sensitivity to design details coupled with his skills in managing and coordinating the various aspects of the site planning process helps bring to life landscapes that are both ecologically sound and aesthetically pleasing to our clients.

Linda Jockers
ADMINISTRATOR

Linda’s business training provides the foundation for her administrative duties at J.D. Barrett and Associates, LLC since the company’s inception in 1998. Her gained experiences in the field of landscape architecture have equipped her with the knowledge and understanding of local and state regulatory processes that are required to secure permit approvals for the successful completion of a landscape project. Linda’s commitment to client communication and familiarity with town personnel are important assets to the design team at J.D. Barrett and Associates, LLC.

Jillian Ross
MASTER GARDENER

Jillian received her Master Gardener Certification from the State of Connecticut in 1997 and her Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association certification in 2004.  She has worked within the landscape industry for twenty years focusing on garden design and accent plantings.  Jillian is a member of the Garden Writers Association and holds a Professional Writing Certificate from Fairfield University, with several of her gardening articles appearing in local publications. 

Shane Goven
TECHNOLGY INFORMATION

Shane is a graduate of Roger Williams University with a bachelor’s degree in cyber security and Networking. He comes with 10 years of Landscape Architect industry experience working with CAD drafting and 3D modeling. His ability to gather, synthesize, and present information provides our clients with the valuable resources necessary to achieve their land planning goals. He also acts as the resident IT support and food enthusiast.

Rebecca Barrett
OFFICE ASSISTANT

Rebecca is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University in Speech-and-Language Pathology with a minor in Medical Spanish and will be beginning graduate school in 2022. She has extensive experience in a variety of business settings including retail, agriculture, design, hospitality, and education establishments service in an office assistant capacity. At J. D. Barrett and Associates, LLC, Rebecca assists all office staff in submittal preparation to review boards and administrative duties.

Maureen Mauro DeSantie
OFFICE ASSISTANT

Maureen attended Columbia University Business Management Program; Strategic Account Management and Leadership Essentials. She is a Master Wildlife Conservationist certified by CT DEEP, she served as Milford Conservation Commissioner MCC for 10 years, on the Mayor’s Open Space Advisory Committee and Milford Environmental Protection Initiative. She has exceptional organizational and research skills to support J. D. Barrett & Associates, LLC in both finance and business acumen.  She is devoted to customer satisfaction; she assists the office staff with various projects and works on permit approval projects.
